NEET - Medical UG-2016 Medium

Answer & Solution:

ANSWER- A   death of fishes due to lack of oxygen

Eutrophication is the natural aging of a lake by nutrient enrichment of its water. With time, streams draining into the lake introduce nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus and domestic sewage, which encourage the growth of aquatic organisms. A river with an inflow of domestic sewage rich in organic waste will reduce the dissolved oxygen (DO). as the organic waste will increase biological oxygen demand of the river thus depleting the oxygen content and will forst of all result in death of fish due to lack of oxygen  after that there may occur Drying of the river very soon due to algal bloom.
